Yeah, well, it seems my Dr. glossed it over a bit. She's on top of my immune stuff (they put me on valtrex for the chronic mono/epstein barr and it seems to work for me), but this isn't really her field. It turns out surgery may be recommended. The good news is the Chiari Institute which is like, THE leading center for this is right by my parents house on Long Island, so I'm going to make an appointment for a thorough evaluation with them the next time I go home. Until then however, my boy's massage degree is going to get put to good work! Plus, this diagnosis is going to help me get the services and stuff I need to help me be functional. But yes, yay for no MS!!! And just the relief of knowing what's wrong with me has kind of given me a more hopeful outlook on life.
