Yeah, I didn't know the whole Pocahontas story but I did know she and John Smith never really fell in love or anything like that.

Interesting how Disney can somehow change real life history.

this is actually really interesting. i didn`t know all of that about pocahontas... i guess i just believed the disney movie a little too much lol.

I used to be obsessed with Pocahontas/Native American culture in general after the Disney movie. Indigenous history is really quite fascinating.

I've been to the house that John Roth built for Pochauntas in Virginia...she never got to live in it because she died before it was completed. Its really pretty though. Thats really interesting. I've heard tales of Native Americans, and I'm really interested in it, mainly because my great grandma was native american and she had a 'second sight' or whatever it is called, she would know things that normal people wouldn't be able too. And after she died every one of her grand children saw her appear before them telling them not to worry...and normally I wouldn't believe that, but my mother who does NOT belive in ghosts or anything like that saw her, and shes not the type to make something up. So its all very interesting.
