Win Some, Lose Some

I had both a good and bad weekend. First the good.
Friday
went with some friends to a tattoo parlor. One friend got her nose pierced the other got her tragus pierced. I was going to get my tongue pierced but I'm still making up my mind if i want it.

Saturday
I went to a Pride event supporting the lgbt community. It was a lot of fun and I bought a shirt

Ahhh! A tongue peircing would look so cool! A friend of mine has one and it looks so neat.

:( I find it a bit odd for a lack of a good word at the moment when people take the bible in a literal sense because I think a lot of it was suppose to be figurative you know? I'm not sure, I've never read it.

I still can't understand why people hate other people based on what a book says. :( Like a few weeks ago, I was riding in a car with one of my roommates and her dad (who's a preacher) and he was a nice guy until he started to talk about gays living in sin.

Exactly! I consider myself a Christian but I'm also a very open-minded person. It is so annoying and it's something that I don't think I will ever understand. She probably things I'm a lesbian now or something lol. The bible is actually an interesting read, boring at times though. I mean even if you don't actually believe it, as a piece of literature, it's amazing. A lot of novels, shows, movies, etc. make alludes to the bible, especially classic novels. ^_^

Yeah, I'm still debating on getting the tongue ring. I can't make up my mind if I really want it or not. It's gonna hurt like crazy though. :-/

And then I think that it's hard to take it in a literal sense because the cultural context and writing style from words have changed over the past couple thousand years. I hear it's a good read even outside of a religious context.

I kind of want to get another piercing in my ear, I've been thinking about it for a while. Tongue rings would hurt D:

I know lol. Even though i'm scared of the pain, that's not the reason i'm hesitate. Surprisingly enough. I'm more worried about taking care of it than anything else. I don't want my tongue to fall out lol. What kind of ear piercing?
