Apparently there's a movement within several conservative Christian churches that proclaims that God wants people to be rich. They basically believe that our God is one who does not want people to be broke. "Who would want to get in on something where you're miserable, poor, broke and ugly and you just have to muddle through until you get to heaven

Yeah, that was called the Prosperity Gospel, and it was lame back in the 80's.

I think the Catholic Church will probably make Mother Theresa a saint. I doubt Joyce Meyer has the same coming to her.
