I made a pumpkin pie for Brian last night, ok it was for me too....I want to donate some money for the tsunami relief effort, but I haven't decided yet which charity to give to: Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF, OXFAM, Christian Children Fund, CARE....Maybe I should split it up and give a smaller sum to each of them.

I was going to second your recommendation, but then I saw this on their site:

"we want to let you know that at this time, MSF estimates that we have received sufficient funds for our currently foreseen emergency response in South Asia."

That almost makes me want to recommend them more. ;) You rarely see organizations that say "you should probably give your money to someone else for this."

There is also an Engineers Without Borders, which mostly builds water systems.

they waste all their money making more organizations that do absolutely nothing for the world.
