Given the amount of pain I've been in lately, I'm halfway qualified to comment on this.
You might want to try to take two Codeine 3 at once - that's the equivalent of one pill of Codeine 4. (Just be careful not to drink any alcohol when you take it!)
When you see the oral surgeon, tell him about your pain problem and ask him to proscribe something stronger. There are many painkillers out there for all types and magnitudes of pain - and wisdom teeth are some of the more severe pain you'll be in, in the course of a typical existence.
If what he gives you doesn't help, don't be afraid to call his office and request something stronger. There's no reason you should waste away days or weeks in pain that can be treated.
