Yesterday at the dog park, my dog was in a fight. She didn't start it - the other dog did.
Mayim weighs 18 pounds. Snowball (the other dog) must be at least five times her size.

Yay, robots!
Today, my supervisor told me that he and my principal want me to put together a proposal for a robotics course to teach next year. So I guess they're pretty happy with how i've been doing so far. And I should be able to have my robots! -
So, when can I replace my textbooks?
In planning my upcoming lessons, I decided to look through my textbooks some more. Here are a few lovely quotes from a chapter of the drafting book entitled "The CADD Workstation."

Yes, I am going back to high school next week. But as a teacher, not a freshman.
Today, I went in to start setting up my classroom. I found somebody in the hallway and asked for a key to the bathroom, and she looked at me rather dubiously and said "The teacher bathroom? You're a teacher?"
I am a teacher. Really. And maybe in a decade or so, I'll look old enough to pass for a first year teacher.

B+, B-, three Bs. I don't think I've ever had such a low GPA for a given grading period in all the time I've been in school up to now. And I've never been so unconcerned about it. I'm done, and I consider just making it through this past semester a major accomplishment. Only a few more days until graduation. -

It still hasn't sunk in that I'm done. It feels like any other summer - like I've got a few months to relax, and then I'll go back to both the work and seeing my friends from school. Soooo... 16 hours.
I could work really hard on senior project.
I could try to build a time machine to go back in time and start panic mode earlier in the semester.
Kinda leaning towards the time machine. -

I was pretty much finished with my facility design project. My computer was slowing down from too much graphics work with too many large files, and it kept bugging me to restart for AVG. I'd been planning to backup my files to my flash drive in just a few minutes ( Read more... )
