resolutions

I don't really do resolutions. I don't think there is much point to them usually, but right now I find myself wanting to devote a bit more effort towards a goal. I cast on for my third project with my handspun this weekend, and I find I want to knit up more of what I have. Had reason to get into my sock yarn box and as I was digging through it, I kept thinking "holy crap, this is really awesome stuff!" Of course, at least some of it was my handspun, which I was kinda drooling over. I'm thinking that I need to do a personal sock club. I have more than enough sock yarn. But how many should I shoot for? Six? More? Fewer? I don't know. Probably not more, at least, not unless I start out and just start racing through pairs of socks (or something else made with fingering weight yarn).

I kind of made a personal sock club. I took a bunch of my sock yarns that I knew what I wanted to do with, or at least wanted to work with, and put them in baggies in a box. Whenever I have the urge to knit socks, I can grab a baggie out of the box. I didn't really set a number or a time limit for myself. Most of my problem is agonizing over which one I want to knit.

Unfortunately, it didn't work so great this first time as the yarn, pattern, and my foot size didn't lead to a harmonious experience. It's all frogged and I'll pick another one once I finish this cowl that I cast on for.
