Okay, I'm hooked! I love how you 'flashed' the other possibilities of the Mustafar scene, like spinning a roulette wheel and ending up with an AU result. I wonder if canon!Vader saw those other possibilities too, and just couldn't control the outcome?

Nice job on Vader-still-being-Anakin-but-now-is-Vader. His struggle to balance the two feels real. I wonder if Padme's presence will keep him from becoming the full-fledged monster we know he's capable of!

And Sidious is delightfully evile, of course :D I hope Vader doesn't kill him off! He's too entertaining!

Thank you for mentioning those two things! Writing Vader/kin this way is really hard, but it feels strange to just have an abrupt change when everything that was his past life is still there. And the way I have things laid out in my head, this is going to get worse/more pronounced as things go on.

As for the other possibilities thing--that becomes more important too. It's something I came up with for this story but that's an interesting thought, that he could canonly see each possible reality but couldn't choose the one he wanted. I like. :)

Thank you for taking the time to review and I hope to see you back for future chapters~!

I really like this. Padme's love for Anakin is still a huge motivator for her, but she can still see the truth of things and stand up for her point of view. It's a tough balancing act, showing both those sides of her, but you did it.

And the way Sidious is using Vader's love for Padme as the wedge to drive them further apart. Threatening to hurt Padme if Vader puts her first, giving Vader perks he knows will enrage Padme and thus get Vader and Padme fighting...it's all very clever on his part, and you're building the tension well by showing us the slowly-widening distance between them.

Lots of tension, plus a well written Padme, means I'm hooked. :)

Padme is going to be really hard to write, I think. I think the character deserved better than she got as far as portrayal, particularly in ROTS, and I want to do her justice. And the tug between both her loyalties and Vader/Anakin's loyalties to each other, their family, and the other things that cause them to act as they do is going to be hard to write too. But fun, I hope!

Thanks for reviewing!
