New Intel processor architecture which executes SSE2 instructions in 1 clock cycle.
The 1.66 GHz version of the processor only eats 27W of power with both cores running full load. the other versions up to 2.16GHz only eat 32W. Very economic.
The 1.66GHz version is like having a 3.2 GHz P4 dual core, except it costs less and eats about 20% of the amount of power.
In other words they are a good deal and don't melt things they come in contact with.
