hey man, we did take off as beltane started due to work and all that jazz, but next time you can't find an amp at short notice, specially valve, give me a text. we're 2 minutes walk away, and i got a couple of big amps you can borrow anytime.

That was the thing, I'd already asked if I could use the one that was there and got told sure. And it was 1.30 or so by the time I even got to the stage, so I just thought the hell with it, it's too late to rustle up an amp and start now anyway...

in defence i would like to say that Beltane was not to blame for this.. Wayne was feeling stink all day about this. the owner of the car that Beltane (well the half that made it to wellington for the gig) were getting a ride with was getting tired and wanted to go home right then.
