A warrior recaps the final hours of his last batle to rescue the woman he loves.

A storm was coming. I could smell it in the air. It was going to a big one, the skies on the horizon were already black making it seem like night was approaching instead. But i knew it was atleast high noon. I could feel the beads of sweat making their course down my neck from the heat and humdidty of the sun. My love stood captive in my enemy's arms. He snaked a arm around her slender waist and i silently swore i would chop his arms off before i finished with him. The sense of battle was about to begin,My enemy charged forward and i dodged. The battle had begun.

----------------

Hours passed as the storm got closer. The only sound heard was the clashing of swords and the occaisional crack of thunder. After what seemed liked an eternity the fight was winding down, we were both out of breath, i saw an opening and struck. My sword penetrated my enemy's skin,And i ran it through him, i could see the warm blood run down the silvery blade. As i released my sword from his body, blood came rushing out. My enemy fell to the ground, his eyes were cold and lifeless no diffrent from how they always were. The storm had approached, the rain washed away the blood, making the ground run red. I thought it was over until his body started to vanish. He had been a fake, a duplicate, a puppet. I should have no better. It was the same old trick he had always used... One of the many reasons why he wasn't spending the rest of eternity in the depths of the underworld where he belonged. Than again he was soo rotten and corrupted that i'm sure even hell wouldn't take him. They afterall had to have their standards...

My real enemy stood behind my love. I raced forward, determined to rescue her. I reached out a hand and called out her name, but then i stopped. My face horror-stricken. My enemy had stabbed her. She fell to her knees and her body went limp as she hit the ground. The same time she had fallen to her knees was about the same time mine had given way underneath me as well. My enemy's victorious haunting laugh rang through my ears. I wasn't able to save her, I failed. I sat there drowning in the hard, cold, unforgiving rain.
