I don't need to. I'm actually happy not really eating it. My diet is so much healthier without it.

Oh, I'm well aware of the value menu at all major fast food chains. But I wasn't in the mood for a McChicken... I wanted to try a cheeseburger. Meat and Chris don't get along very well anymore.

Beef is a terrible gauge. Even healthy people can have bad reactions to it. I did for years, but I eat it regularly enough that my guts aren't so tetchy.

I've lived accidentally on meat-free diets before. Since I'm not one for beans, the lack of protein made me quite ill. Be careful with that sort of thing.

I've actually discovered that I am eating healthier without eating meat because I actually watch what I eat to make sure I'm eating a balanced diet. I'm amazed at how much easier it is to get up in the morning and how much less lethargic I am after meals.

But there are so many other ways to get good protein: nuts, peanut butter, tofu, tempeh (which I have discovered is God's gift to mankind - so good), dairy products such as cheese (God's other, more well known gift to mankind), along with beans and other legumes. The possibilities are endless.
