On Vodka Infusion

With extra time, and tons of left-over vodka from my graduation party, I've decided that this week I'm going to do some vodka infusions. In the past, I've done cucumber, melon, and vanilla, and while the cucumber and vanilla came out really well, the melon wasn't as great so I don't plan to try that one again. Interesting idea, but being a vegetarian, I would have no use for a bacon-infused vodka. I'd also fear that I was imparting grease into the vodka more than bacon flavor itself. But I guess that's the allure of bacon, anyway. Hmm...

There actually is at least one bacon-infused vodka on the market. It has little to do with the grease, it's about the smokiness and saltiness.

However, I had quite forgotten you are vegetarian, so my apologies for having suggested it.

Rhubarb! Rhubarb is in season right now and would be awesome with Vodka. Plus, its a vegetable, so yeah, healthy and all.

Can you believe that there were no places selling rhubarb at the Farmer's Market? I'm still set on doing it, but now I have to go looking for it... sigh.
