*shakes head* well, it doesn't give you much hope, but its got to be better then tossing it alongside the highway somewhere.
We saw someone kick a rottweiler out of the back of thier pickup truck down while driving pretty fast in the everglades. He had a really nasty gash and what looked to be a broken leg. We tried to get near him, but he growled at us and snapped, and we were in a small car. I wasn't going to get near the growling dog to go noose it or something but we did drive back a few miles and report it to the rangers office. They said it was "very common for people to dump dogs and cats out there for some reason, and they will call the shelter, as if they are left overnight they usually get hit by the cars, die of heatstoke or the gators and coyotes get them"
It's sad that I read this and hardly feel any emotion except pity for that dog- that's how much hope I gave up on humanity a long time ago. Not even worth being angry or sad anymore.
