One imagines in Germany they study Schiller, or that other one who's name i can't remember.

But also, Shakespeare's pretty world famous (After all, he is THE BEST).

Psh, at least you get a word. I ask my parents and they same "Probably something conventional."

Thomas Attwood, Mordecai Richler and Margaret Laurence are apparently Canada's most famous writers. D:

Russia and I tried to block the kink meme from 'merica's computer but we ended up breaking the internet, so we decided to leave it.

bold -> those who are like NECESSARY

When it comes to Poland, we have Shakespeare since he's so brilliant and my teacher's really crazy about his works, some Russian writers (Dostoevski, Bulgakov), a bunch of Polish ones well, obviously ;DDDD (the most important are: Kochanowski, Mickiewicz, Słowacki, Sienkiewicz *pukes*, Reymont, Prus, Żeromski, Miłosz, Szymborska, Herbert, Gombrowicz etc), there are of course classics and poètes maudits. Some texts of various philosophers. Moliere, Voltaire,Goethe, Kafka. And some more... up-to-date ones but that depends on a teacher's wish. Apparently, we'll talk about most of my fav authors in the senior class which I'm going to start in September, lol.

and omg, Utada <3 she's such a great singer! her voice is LOVE.

Shh. Please pretend I'm studying. :/

Hmmm...Here in Brazil, we learn about Portugal's and Brazil's literary movements(apparently, we have to learn Portugal's too because we still have the "mind of a colony". Or something like that. D: But there are a lot of really good authors in their literature, so I'm not complaining.♥)
I think the ones we study the most are Luís de Camões, Bocage, Álvares de Azevedo, José de Alencar, Eça de Queirós, Fernando Pessoa etc. and, in my opinion, the best(and probably most famous?) one of them, Machado de Assis. :3 We also see a bit of Goethe, Shakespeare and a few other, hm, foreign authors who influenced our literary movements. :3
