Shima had to admit that the clothes here were very stuffy. He smiled as the wind ruffled Je'nihahn's coal-black mane and slid over his bare skin. The weather was pleasant so he'd left his jelah in his room and was only dressed in the sleeveless tunic his people called teveh and the short kilt-like garment men wore. And if the weather happened to turn chilly, well, he was a Dragonlord now and could call up a heat-spell with a word.
With only half an eye on where they were going Shima spoke to his horse, an iron-gray stallion, as if to an old friend. "How are you settling? I know it's not quite to your liking, my friend, but it's suitable enough, isn't it?"
The horse nodded his great head and pranced a few steps--without any tack at all, not even a halter-- in response and then snaked his head out to lip at the half-eaten apple in Shima's hand.
Shima laughed heartily, "You would steal my food?" but he handed the apple over after taking another bite and laid a hand on the stallion's neck as they walked.
