Hikaru Sulu waited calmly for the lift, rocking back on his heels and letting his mind wander. He loved the Enterprise, there should be no doubt about that, but he was looking forward to having some new surroundings. Having some time on Starbase 10 wasn't as exciting as, say, a ground mission on an unexplored planet, but it was something, at least. He wondered what all the Starbase had to offer, but figured he had enough time to figure that out.

Mira was relieved when Spock promised her that their current mission was to be a bit more civilized than the previous trip to Rigel. She wanted to avoid another situation like that at all costs. She was sure McCoy would appreciate that just as much.

Speaking of the Doctor, she caught sight of him heading toward the lift where Lieutenant Sulu was already waiting. See, somehow she convinced herself that there was nothing to be done in the lab (a diplomatic conference had little to do with science) and therefore decided to stretch her legs around the starbase- where, if anything, she could pick up some supplies.

"I didn't expect to find you here," she said from behind McCoy. She walked up to his side, and then passed him to stand next to Sulu.
