If there were ever a time the crew might have felt like they weren’t hurling through space on a sterile ship this tops it. The decorations in the room, combined with OLED lights and faux electric candles give the entire officer’s lounge a glow that overpowers the fake sunlight simulated by the ships atmospheric replication system. Angela had been looking forward to the party, and was excited for it to finally start. Though she'd hidden some mistletoe here and there, the Ensign couldn't resist adding some to the antlers she was wearing. Paired with the red dress she'd changed into after shift, she was looking appropriately ridiculous. She easily had enough holiday spirit for herself and several other officers.

Frank's embarrassing gift aside, she was ready to have a good time, and Angela headed to the drink table to get things started off right.

Amara was already at the drink table, planning on getting her drink and food and finding a quiet corner from which to watch the festivities. She smiled at Angela, amused. "Nice antlers." She said. "Everything looks fantastic." She glanced around, "I'm sorry about your gift, Frank is.... well, Frank."

Angela laughed. "The more I think about it, it's kind of funny. I guess I should take it as compliment... in a way"

She flashed Amara a large grin. "I do have a new respect for your level of tolerance, though."

Pike always liked holiday celebrations aboard his ships. For some reason, they always felt more comfortable for him than any celebration with his family on a planet. He was continually amazed that even the alien species that didn't have a holiday at this time seemed to share in the good feeling from the human crew.

Pike stood off to the side near the wall, cane in one hand, drink in the other.

Admiral Pike seemed to be between Amara and her customary quiet corner. She prefered to watch the festivities rather than participate. Still, she smiled at him, not wanting to be rude on her way to fading into the background and watching the party unfold.

"Merry Christmas, sir." She greeted politely.
