I've been able to look at OU's ebooks while off-campus, but I don't know if it was through ebrary or some earlier system. And I haven't looked at one recently, so I was probably using IE instead of Firefox. What I remember is that it would constantly kick me off and make me log in again and have to find my place again. Very frustrating.

I've noticed that the "go to page number..." button that crashed firefox works fine in safari. I may try it in Netscape and possibly IE if I can find a windows machine. It's really annoying to read on the ebrary website about what a snazzy and sofisticated piece of software their ereader is.
:-p

Did you find a librarian to complain to?

There's an 'email a librarian' option under the help menu. It also said I could call the reference desk or come in and talk to a real one. Email seemed like the best option.
