Aww, yay for Lorne and Kate actually talking about their problems! *beams* Excellent character growth on the part of both of them! :)

Heh, Lady Maria's actually pleased?! *giggles* Perhaps there won't be an explosion of hysterics over the matter like Kate has no doubt dreaded. At least, not on her mother's part.

Love the comment about John mixing up some of Atalan's monarchs. Sounds like he's having fun learning about his adopted country's history. :D

Interesting idea, having Teyla take a trip to Dakara to visit the Jaffa. Makes me wonder what kind of havoc she could get up to while she's there. Her and Teal'c could cause all kinds of trouble if they wanted, and then go to a tavern and laugh about it. Or, you know, something. ;)

Great start! Looking forward to what comes next!

Oh, dear. *wishes she had Kate and/or Lorne icon*

Things have been going so well. Peter survived (thought for sure he was a goner) and relationships are progressing nicely.

This makes me very scared that something awful is going to happen. Perhaps I just need to curb my pessimistic streak.

Another wonderful installment, you two! I literally squeed when I saw there was new ren!fic.

While I unashamedly admit that I'm into this series primarily for the Sheppard/Weir pretties (heck, who isn't?), it's nice to see some of the other players in Atalan taking center stage for a little while. Kate and Lorne both seem to have really matured since the early days when jealousy and suspicion nearly derailed everything for them. I just hope this little speed bump over Sir Malcolm remains nothing more than a speed bump and does not turn out to be a harbinger of Bad Things To Come. O_o Though I'm still giggling my ass off at Kate and Marcus's shock at Lady Maria not going nuclear about the betrothal. *cackles*

I'm also rather curious about the prospect of Teyla's trip to Dakara. I'm with AQ on wondering about the mischief that Teyla and Teal'c could get into. Too bad Ronon's off on his own adventure, because if all three of them teamed up to get into trouble, the epic insanity would know no bounds! Muahahah!

Can't wait to see what's in store for Part 2!

Ren!fic!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Kate&Marcus are just so cute, and I can't wait for them to get married. I'm with John, they shouldn't wait any longer than they have to.

Also, John&Elizabeth's wedding is getting closer and closer! Yay! And I can't wait to 'see' John with a flower crown on his head! *giggles* This will be fun! And I can imagine Cameron making fun of him because of this, too!

And it's great that Teyla decided to go to Dakara. Though I bet that she and Teal'c will drive everyone's crazy!

Elizabeth got word that evening that the embroidery on her wedding dress was finally complete, and not a moment too soon.

Hah! *sympathizes with court embroiderers*

An ambassador of his rank could not be ignored, and Elizabeth and Daniel were struggling somewhat to find ways to amuse their honored guest, as well as keep Lord Stephen away from John as much as possible.

*giggles*

I kind of hope we get to learn more about Teyla's trip to Jaffa in upcoming installments, mostly because Teyla is awesome and we haven't visited there yet. :-)

Really like the mini re-visitation of Kate and Marcus's Iolan disaster. It was really good for it to happen to them so soon and start to learn how to deal with each others' darker sides.
