I love your portrayal of Lady Maria. I loved that she surprised Kate with her acceptance of Marcus, and showed Kate that she truly does care for Kate's happiness, more than she wants Kate to marry a title. I'm also intrigued on Marcus' parents response to the news of their son's marriage. I hope we'll get to meet them and let them get to see Kate for themselves.
YAAAAAAYYYYYYYY! *happy dancing* Marcus and Kate, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! *huggles*
I am still cackling a little in glee over how enthused Lady Maria is about the wedding. I suppose it's as Lord David said in Part 1, she's just happy that there's going to be a wedding at all. :P
That moment when Elizabeth was talking of having just a little time to herself before her own wedding really caught at my heart, though. I can't imagine she has fears about this wedding night, compared to the one she faced with Simon, but... Well. *hugs Elizabeth*
So Elizabeth's feeling the "whoa, something is bound to go wrong" too? Hee!
This story made me so very happy. Lady Maria was a complete surprise; a wonderful one! It's fun to have completely original characters that you can imagine their appearances yourself.
All of their contemplation on the past and how things are going to change was so perfect. Because really, Elizabeth, Laura, and Kate have been joined at the hip even more than most siblings.
Oh, wouldn't that be wonderful? It just wouldn't be right if he couldn't be there after he had been such a big part of Elizabeth and Kate's lives as they were growing up. *wibbles*

"Should I be restricting Lord John's time with the queen?"
If he did that, then he should probably restrict his own time with Kate, too!! *giggles*
