Some thoughts. Spoilers, of course.
Bones - The Body in the Bag
This was a good eppy, I quite enjoyed it. It was a bit predictable but that's okay because it was amusing and gross and just all around good.
Random things:
- "Just a little gurgle" OMG GROSS.
- Sigh. Booth & Bones. You know, they are totally going to end up together. I feel about 98.7% confident that it WILL happen. Probably at the end of this season leading into the next. I just wish they'd hurry up with it. And I don't care if she is likable, I want Hannah to GTFO.
- Jack, Angela & Baby Hodgins = <3
- Clark CRACKED ME THE HELL UP. He was HILARIOUS. I demand more of this.
- "Ant-arc-tica" Heheh.
Yikes, next week! The sniper!
Fringe - The Firefly
Can I say YAY, FRINGE IS BACK ON!? Yes, I can! And I really liked this episode. Loved the Observer's "experiment" with the cause and effect. That whole story line was brilliant. And so was Christopher Lloyd. Loved seeing the Doc! I really need to watch this one again to fully digest it, maybe I'll even write a proper review then.
Random things:
- Walter, I <3 you!
- Observer spotted! EVERYWHERE!
- Observers are not only ninjas, but Jedi too.
- I MUCH prefer Olivia with her hair pulled back, like normal. No more Bangs of Evil!
- Ahh, Aspirin.
- "Give him the keys and save the girl" Quite cryptic. I can't help but wonder if it pertains to something other than just what we saw tonight. And of course, what it means for Peter. He better not have to die or something! Eeep!
- Peter & Olivia are still breaking my heart. The book scene was brilliant, really. It almost made me want to forgive Peter right then and there but alas, the boy has a bit more to prove, I think. I do actually feel badly for him, he must feel like a huge stinking pile of poo after what happened and now seeing how much it really hurt and is affecting Olivia would be hard for him.
I just feel so terribly bad for Olivia, she's gone through so much. Though I am pleased to see that it doesn't appear she's closing herself off again. She's obviously not an open book but that we're seeing as much emotion as we are from her, I think is good and definitely a step in the right direction. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS THAT ARE GOOD DON'T HAVE ALT!OLIVIA BE PREGNANT. GAWD.
There were a lot of pointers in that direction in tonight's ep. Lots of talk of children and fathers and the Observer's direct statement to Peter on the rooftop. Sigh. I know she's Over There all prego. Dammit.
- Loved the interaction between Walter & Peter. When Peter told Walter "give me the keys and save the girl" I yelped a little and teared up at that scene. Then of course it was so TENSE with Peter almost being hit by all those cars that seem to come from nowhere. Lol. The milk (eww!) scene was tense too but I knew Olivia would be able to save him. Because that's what our Olivia does.
- FRINGE sure knows how to do car crashes!
- Peter's favorite book: If you see Buddha on the road. Kill him! By Sheldon B Kopp. Which I googled and found to actually be a book. Interesting.
- Peter: "Ever feel that everytime we get close to getting the answers, somebody changes the question?"
- Did I mention Christopher Lloyd was brilliant? He totally was. And I love that both Walter & Roscoe love strawberry milkshakes lol.
Good eppy all the way around. Loved it. I think it was a very fitting return for FRINGE and a great start to FRINGE FRIDAY. Yes, I've decided FRINGE FRIDAY is awesome and I will love it forever. I'm really hoping ratings were good, I actually do think FRINGE will do good in the Friday timeslot.
Yikes, next week! The machine! Peter!
