It wasn't strange enough to be believable. I can't imagine how a world would work like that...

How can it be that hard to imagine? Luck has a role in any world. That one just happened to be a bit more extreme, but it's not like it was that much of a stretch.

[Flynn is definitely not someone Rita pays a lot of attention to, even though they live in the same house. She didn't notice him during the curse, either.] So he's gone missing, or...He left the City.

I rather doubt it myself. The handful of places like that, or the pockets of places like that in other cities, really must be built on very fragile foundations. I think they must rely on the rest of the world to sustain themselves at all.

Likewise. For the record, I'm not usually a heavy gambler.

They probably do... As far as I could tell, it was just a lavish place where people exchanged money and not much else. In my world, gambling is usually just a small-scale thing. [ And nothing can be said for the organised crime. ]
