Bell Jar part one

I am about halfway through The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. So far, I really enjoy the book. I can see how it can be a little hard to follow the story since it bounces back and forth between "present" and "past" moments in the main character's life. It's almost like a Virginia Woolf novel in that respect where it bounces back and forth from what is
