Sad day for the Rock World

RIP, Scott Weiland.

It always makes me sad when I think of how real rock and roll isn't as popular as it used to be. And then something like this happens.

It's also sad he never got the help that may have saved him.

This is my favorite Stone Temple Pilots song:

I know. I heard earlier. It's all very sad. I hope this can at least be a wake up call for others in his situation. So while he couldn't save himself, maybe he'll save others.

It would be nice if his death could help someone else.

People have to want to get help, and that is just sadder that this takes such control over a person.... :-(

Unless you really want and are ready for it, all the help in the world won't do much. Takes a huge personal and continuous effort and commitment to recover and maintain - that involves going "naked", facing and dealing with very emotionally painful things.

Some people just can't - it hurts too much. Weiland was hurting for a long while.

True. It's just awful how it takes such a hold over someone's life.
