I guess it would be different if I lived with someone who I could say "Let's go to a movie!" and just go, but that can't work for me. So, going to the cinema takes planning these days. I suppose I could get up and go by myself, (and I do, ( Read more... )

I heard so many mixed reviews about "The Danish Girl"... a lot of people loved it, other hated it. There seems to be no "in between", which sometimes is the case... I'm glad you enjoyed the movie :)

I haven't seen any of those movies on your list, though =D

I liked The Danish Girl. Didn't blow me away. But I did really feel for Lili. If she had been born 50 years later, she would have had a great life. But medical science at the time prevented it.

Yeah, I like a wide variety of movies! Always have.

I've been wanting to see Spotlight. Good to hear that it lived up to the hype in your eyes.

The novel "Room" is indeed told from Jack's POV. The author is simply *brilliant* at writing this very intelligent but sheltered child. Definitely recommend it.

I hardly ever go to the cinema these days either, I'd rather just buy or rent from iTunes. It's annoying that there's such a long wait though if you prefer watching films in the comfort of your own home

I've pre-ordered Room and I'm looking forward to seeing it, the book was really good :)

Yeah, it can be frustrating waiting for a film to be available to view at home. But sitting in my comfy bed watching a movie is kind of nice!

I think I need to add the book of Room to my reading list!

Room and Carol are on Netflix? Need to check them out. I watched Promised Land Sunday night.

Yes, Netflix just got them in the past couple weeks.

I'll have to add Promised Land to my list.
