just now, i was sitting on the couch, thinking about lines i'd use in my autobiography, if i ever decided to write one.  the particular line that came to mind was "I first knew that my love affair with autumn was to be life long after I experienced it in New York".  Although that particular sentence is far too wordy, so I'd probably edit it down

Ellipses are one of my favorite punctuation marks. Or rather, they are my favorite for fiction and semicolons are my favorite for formal writing. Yes, I am actually that dorky.

And have you read Atonement? A lot of the writing style is stream-of-consciousness that is almost Woolfian. You might enjoy it.

I have read it, and I enjoyed it very much, partially for the reason you mention. I'm glad you also made the Woolf/McEwan connection.

Things are pretty stressful right now, but should ease up in about a month. At some point I'm planning to take a trip up to NY and floor hop for a few nights. I hope we can hang out if/when that happens. I miss having my fellow lit dork in my life.
