C&B season 1 was perfection, and I knew the show considered them their IT couple in season 2, but it was frustrating to see them stretch it out all year. In the end, I'm glad they swept all the Uncle Bass/Vanessa fuckery under the rug, because I thought that was dumb. I'm looking forward to season 3 with them TOGETHER and being AMAZING.

Le sigh. Season 1 was organic and sexy and combustible. The show capitolized on their chemistry and gave Gossip Girl it's ONLY legitimate OMFG moment.

And I agree. Season 2 bought into the hype. The show had suddenly amassed a crazed and obsessed fanbase and they played us all season long.

I mean, the push-pull gave us some of their hottest and richest moments in terms of characterization and plain cumbustion, but much of the writing was really bad and tedious and lazy. They stretched out the I Love Yous so much it became a joke.

Them together in season 3 will be epic. Their will always be rollar coasters and drama, but what I DO love about season 2 is that they overcame SO MUCH that there can never be any backsliding or regressions. From this point on, we know they're in love and for keeps.

Le swooooooooon.

I hope you had a good birthday!

I love C&B too, they make that show so enjoyable...like Pacey and Joey did, but in a totally different and delicious way!

C&B has taken me to the brink this season, but there is no angst quite like P&J angst, lol. It's probably why I could withstand the torture because Dawson's Creek gave me THREE seasons of it after they hooked up and said the ILYs!

Pacey/Joey is my OTP of time and space. Especially in the high school/teenie realm.

But what I love about C&B is that they could very well reach another plateau. They're already written like adults. I'm excited to see what the college/business world setting means for them.
