Although the labels "slut" and "whore" are still applied liberally, hooking up is, on the whole, more socially acceptable as a result of the sexual revolution. Young people hook up for a myriad of reasons. Some are exploring their sexuality, and the no-strings-attached policy reduces quite a bit of pressure. Thanks for your opinions. Since you are keeping this anonymous, would you care to give more detailed explanations of your experiences with hooking up? Like maybe a specific incident or something (but vague enough to keep your identity secret).
This is someone from Alaska. I just ran across this journal by accident but felt inclined to answer.
1. What you guys think about hooking up? I think its a easy way for most guys to "get" with girls without having to "be" with a girl. Really this all boils to down to the girls and its there fault for buying into bullshit.
2. Why you think other people hook up instead of getting into relationships? Bragging Rights.
3. If you have any personal experience with this subject, please tell me your story. I need opinions from kids who have actually had "friends with benefits" or have hooked up instead of gotten into a relationship.
Ive hooked up with 2 girls and now its kinda awkward with one of them and fun and cool with the other one when ever i see them at the next Ice Cream Social. Ive never got into a relationship with either one of them
