ok...as far as coolness goes, the pirate wins hands down. there is no substitute for owning a pet monkey...no mask could take the place of it.

the fighting, i'll have to give that one to the ninja...and im just talking about the general fighting ala mortal combat style. but drop a ninja onto a pirate ship and there is no fight...the pirate knows the ship too well to lose. but drop a pirate into a ninjas environment and the ninja will win hands down.

i have to agree. pirates are so much cooler but they would so lose a fight unless the ninja stubbed his toe so that the pirate could shoot him without the ninja bouncing off the walls. aren't ninjas suppossed to be fearless? that really sucks for the pirate cuz he'd prolly try to run. i think i'm slightly moving more towards the ninja being cooler. maybe i should just see what other people say and make my decision.

I think in the coolness category, the ninja. Because they are NINJAS! pirates had diseases and stuff, and bad teeth.

in the fight? i think the pirate might win. because, dude, he cheats and has a gun

Well,I think your more likely to find a single ninja, there is never just one pirate on a ship. That being said I think a ship full I pirates could take one forlon ninja. And even in ninja environment a shipful of pirates could take him down. I don't know about one on one, but like I said, pirates don't travel alone.
And, just so it's clear: BEING ASAIN, unlike being black, DOESN'T MAKE YOU COOL!!! Besides, what could possible be cooler than men exploring new lands while hiding/finding treasure?

I still think Ninjas win hands down. Ninjas totally own at the blade and cool martial arts, not to mention they are generally awesome.

I think a ninja could take on a bunch of pirates. The pirates would prolly end up fighting each other.

this one is hard... but i think i must agree with those who said becky. ninjas would kill pirates with the supercool martial arts skills and what not. besides, ninjas are stealthy and pirates aren't! and the word "ninja" is just fun to say. NINJA!
