so classes have started. i am now in the second week. i like my classes. nz & aussie theatre is the most challenging because there are lots of plays to read & i don't have them, and its at 10am, but it is really interesting. i always thought theatre could teach you lots of things that didnt necessarily have to do with theatre, and its true. i've ( Read more... )

last night i went to a night of stand up comedy featuring 4 nz comedians. i was really curious about nz humor, and sometimes i was laughing just because it was so regional, like these jokes about "knox"??? i didnt get. only 2 of these dudes were actually funny, of the other 2, one was so drunk he kept forgetting what he was saying & the other one ( Read more... )

here's a nice little story. i spent my valentine's day evening in the accomodation office at otago, making phone calls to flats with vacancies (mostly being rejected/denied), as brendan, the red-headed staffer, was playing guitar and writing a nice song.
