A/N- I keep having ideas for River/ Doctor stories, so I decided to make a separate series from the Pond ones for them. These "shippy" ones will be under the tag "Mr. Song & Mrs. Smith."

Not really sure where this came from, but I like it. Doctor/ River fluff. Explains why River met the Doctor in the Impossible Astronaut, other than the obvious. ( Read more... )

I liked this! At first I was like, 'Jim the fish'? that's it? an analogy? But what you did with it was really clever, and I like the extra meaning it gives to their words in Impossible Astronaut. Well done!

Thank you- I'm happy this worked for you, because at the time I was oscillating between "but I really like it like this" and "but this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, dump it." Glad I kept going with the first voice, and that you liked it. And it's always a pleasure to add to actual parts on the show!

I'm glad you did to! The way it gave their words not only a 'yay we've already done this together!' quality but also an emotional meaning that was only between the two of them gave their looks and smiles in that moment a whole other layer. This is going in my headcanon ;)

ALWAYS delighted to make Head canon! I rather liked the idea they're much more emotionally connected at that point of (for him) their wedding than just- we had adventures, it was cool, now let's get married. And also,on a personal not, this explained why River would be there twice other than "to see that it had to happen."
