Man, that had me holding back tears. Really good though. Ugh, Doctor Who has changed my life, for better of for worse, I don't know. :)

Thanks! That makes me glad (that it affected you, not, you know, that I almost made you cry). I blame Moffat. And Davies. And the nature of living an immortal life around mortals. It is an extremely life- changing show. Thanks for reading :)

Oh, this is heartbreaking and just beautiful! So glad Amy and Rory can help Eleven deal with some of the pain and heartache.

Damned Moffat just tears me to bits with Eleven's and River's story--I can't decide whether he's a genius or a sadist, or BOTH ;-)

I know! I have an I blame Moffat tag, because he just knows exactly how to break hearts more and more and more! And I think Amy and Rory deserved to know what happened to their daughter, and that they could be the only ones who would be able to properly grieve with the Doctor over River's loss.

Yes he does! I've watched a LOT of scifi shows over the years, and I'm quite sure I have never cried as much as I've cried over Eleven, and Amy and Rory and River! I still have trouble watching anything after Angels Take Manhattan, because he's so devastated by his loss; even with Clara's mystery to distract him, I don't think he'll ever get over that.

And I love stories like this, with Eleven getting comforted by the people he loves :-)

We were watching the Girl Who Waited for another countless time, and I still had moist eyes by the end (not directly written by Moffat, but his era is full of feels). I still have trouble with the end scene of "Day of the Moon," and don't even bother with the final five minutes after the goodbye in "Name of the Doctor" because they're so heartbreaking. When Angels Take Manhattan aired, I just replayed those last heartbreaking scenes over and over and over. I agree. I don't think Clara's mystery would be enough to mend his broken hearts.

I'm glad you like these types of stories too, because they offer a minute salve to my heart.
