oh good! I hadn't read this, and saw a poster advertising his speaking date here and called K to say we should go to that cos I've been reading him on Zmag for years (although it's one of those sites where it's hard to distinguish one author from another, but I knew I knew the name and where from). Anyway he said you'd written an impassioned post about him, so I'll definitely be going now. thanks!

P.S. Did you ever listen to the "Alternative Radio" lectures? They used to be on 2SER (probably still are, but I don't really listen to the radio anymore) and each week was one of these guys, one of these washington/guardian/Zmag types, you know? Awesome.

No I never heard them on 2SER but I have heard Fisk interviewed on the ABC TV and radio. He always seemed very intelligent. I just bought his book today and Its going to be along haul.
