There is something organically wrong with a lot of the generation which is now of child-bearing age. They haven't grown up. Oh, yes - they get the growth and the hair and the attitude and the job and the car and the spouse and the kids - but for the most part, they haven't grown up. Son-in-law is "stranded" here. His mom's car was impounded due to insurance issues (we find out later that she had made the payment earlier in the day and it had not hit the system yet). So, his words, "I want to be with my girls" so he's decided to stay and find work. I took him to the bank so he could get his pay from the bank, and he was checking out all the businesses to see what he could apply to for a job. Now that he's here, daughter is talking like perhaps she might be able to find work, because she won't have to worry so much about childcare. For me, I have retreated emotionally and I will make myself scarce. Not happy.
