Tony needs to get off-campus once in a while at his lunches - he's used to delis that serve fifteen dollar sandwiches, sit down lunches at steakhouses. And, Pepper knows, he needs imported espresso at least once a week to allow for his continued existence. He'd texted her from class constantly until she'd agreed, driving out and ordering more food for a weekday lunch than most people eat in a night out.

He does it because he knows Pepper will let him. She knows better than to argue.

So the two of them went to lunch, Tony took up way too much of Pepper's day ("I have a free period, no one will notice"), and now he's leading the way back into Pepper's office, tossing his sweatshirt over the back of the chair the students usually sit in before moving around the desk to fall in Pepper's chair, letting it rock back and using the momentum to pop his feet up onto the desk. "Step into my office, Potts. Have a seat." He gestures to where he put his sweatshirt, grins at the disapproving look she gives him, obviously having no intention of going anywhere.

"So," he says, grabbing an important looking file off of her desk and idly flipping through it, "what's the latest crisis we're working on? Sally Superhero's declining grades? Joe Freshman's AP placement?"
