Its interesting how sometimes you want to write your thoughts down and other days or even weeks you have no interest. Of the course of what months I have had a few interesting things occur. I'm thrilled to be living in a day, age and place where my opinion has as much weight, where I have just as much of an opportunity, where I have just as much say in political and social arenas as the men do. In these areas, women seem to have (generally, of course) embraced that for which they fought.
However, at the end of the day, we can't go against our nature/nurturing. Be it genetically ingrained or simply learned, we want to be thought of as the fairer sex. Despite what recent generations of women claim, on some level we still want to be put on the pedestal, we want to be pursued, we want to be thought of as desired... well, objects, for lack of a better word. When it comes down to it, we still want to be chased and wooed and protected and swept off our feet ( ... )

As for phone calls, I know I suck in that area. And it's not just with giving guys calls, I have a hard time calling my female friends. I'm just not a good friend in that regard. I can be sitting around in my house, bored, and still not be able to summon up the motivation to call people. Maybe I'll call one, then just give up when they have something else to do. I'm lazy. But there it is, I've chosen to not make a phone call, even though I have the right to do it!
