The Second Date - For Thor

May 21, 2012 16:26

>>Transplant from Sixwordstories.  Thor has driven Stark's 'chariot,' gotten them pulled over by the police, eaten strange, bloody food in his kitchen, forced him to attend meetings, crash landed in a cafe because of a steering incident on Air Thor, and broke his glasses.  Seems like Tony's aiming for a broken nose now too.

Tony is not a happy camper.  After Thor's departure, after telling Tony not to disappoint him, all Tony can do is laugh at the smell of ozone.  "Wouldn't dream of it, darling."  He decides to take his time because he wants the warm reassurance that only alcohol can give him before heading off to do battle with someone that he probably can't win against if Thor manages to have the stamina he's seen and experienced in battle.  Tony's bruised already and while that is never a good sign, the idea of someone wanting to go toe to toe with him is enough to make him more reckless than usual. Oh. It's delicious. The thought of it. The desire to do harm just about equals the welcomed distraction of harm being done right back to him.

Back at home, Tony has Jarvis run a diagnostic on his suit.  He puts on on a clean t-shirt and jeans for this little rendezvous. By the time he's done, his suit is ready and the sudden feel of metal clamping around his limbs causes his heart to beat faster and his arc reactor to sing joyfully in his chest.

He arrives fashionably late by about ten minutes at the place he was to meet Thor, the site of their first 'date' in the flattened forest.  He lands in front of the god of thunder in a crouch, stilling his excitement as much as possible.
