Harry Potter & the Birthday Block CAL Unity Block

I thought I'd share with y'all the last block I needed to put together the CAL blanket.  If you'll remember, I did all 4 houses each month for a total of 48 blocks.  Well, with it being a Harry Potter blanket & all, I want to keep those magical numbers in the blanket.  So to make the blanket 7 rows of 7 blocks, I need 49 blocks.  So I decided to do ( Read more... )

this really is a great design. i love it as a house unity block, but i can see this working well ion other things. It would look great in greens as a celtic knotwork type block too

...you are the most talented crocheter I have ever met. Wow. That is a beautiful block.

Loved the hand dyed yarn in the other post. A couple of Christmases ago, a friend gave me two cones of space dyed yarn. Also beautiful. In fact, so beautiful, I haven't been able to commit to a project for it.

But yours....wow.

I do that too. I have loads of Harry Potter fabric that I've been hoarding & some yarn as well.

It is very simple, just do each section at a time & read through the instructions. And when you do decide to do it, we're here if you need help. :)
