Running + Househunting

Running: Running has been going GRRRREEEAAAATTT now that I've finally completely adapted to wearing the Vibrams. After running in my Nikes, my legs used to feel like someone beat them with baseball bats. My knees and lower back would hurt for hours afterwards. With the Vibrams, there's no pain at all (though my ankles are a little stiff... ( Read more... )

I'm always so amused at the completely random doodads you can pick up in Zombies, Run! On my first mission I found myself acquiring a discarded pair of underpants. Don't even want to know what the app expected me to do with them.

And best of luck with the house hunting! It can be a exhausting, can't it? I'm just starting my search and discovering it's ruthlessly competitive out there. You have to move so quick to have a shot at anything! I may just keep on renting.

awesome about the running!
Too bad about the house, but hopefully there'll be one that's just as nice in a different way that still lets you do what you want to do. :)

There is a fabulous 10k loop near Shinyokohama, following the Tsurumi river. If you start at Shinyoko, go to Tsunashima, cross the river and run your way back. I do it every weekend, and it is so nice and cool :) It is so nice to run somewhere with trees and grass

I came here to ask the same thing! I was looking forward to your next post. I brought a ton of tea at lupecia when I was in Japan -- I wouldn't have known about the place without Lauren's recommendation.

I got champagne green tea, decaff oolong, and some tea with rum and something else because it had an interesting scent.

My husband got some lapsang soochong (sp?) and a tea infusion thing in the shape of a house!

We also got one of those things you can used to make any tea into iced tea.

We spent 5,000 yen!!

Also went to Kaldi coffee farm (?) in Yokohama.

I am also missing you. I live in Canada and I have followed you for so many years and I hope all is well. Connected with your blog through my son who lives in Japan now for about the same number of years as you.
