What would you say is your biggest insecurity? Does it affect your day-to-day life?
I fear conflict and feeling judged. It causes me to be extremely withdrawn and socially isolated.
Is it ever appropriate to "snoop" on your significant other (going through their phone, having their Facebook password, etc.)?
I've never felt the need to snoop on Josh.
If I peeked into your laundry basket, what would I find the most of?
Clean folded clothing. I don't have enough room in my side of the dresser I share with Josh.
Do you tend to dress for more for comfort or appearance?
Comfort. I really enjoy fashion and make-up by rarely apply that to my life.
What are some things you tend to notice about people that others may find trivial or not notice at all? Why do you think you notice those things?
I don't think I notice very much about other people. I'm not always very good at discerning who to allow into my life. I've made some poor choices in the past. I used to think I was a good judge of character but that belief has been broken. I do notice clothing and what is flattering on people with my body type. I'm not used to dressing my slightly larger frame so I try to pick up on flattering ideas.
Do you ever listen to talk radio shows? Which ones?
Sometimes I tune into NPR and catch whats on there while I'm driving. I don't listen regularly though. I've really gotten into Ricky Gervais podcasts off YouTube lately.
The last time you checked your mailbox, what was in there? Do you usually get a lot of mail?
Only junkmail. I get a lot of mail because I usually only check it once a week and I have a tiny box since I'm in an apartment. The mail carrier probably hates me. I get plenty of packages from shopping online.
What time in the day do you feel your best? Why do you think that's the case?
When I leave work for the day. I feel my best because I get to leave. I have a ten hour shift and there's not always a lot to keep me busy so leaving is a relief.
Is there an "age" where at that point in your life you would become concerned if you weren't settled down? How important is settling down, getting married, etc. to you?
It's not very important to me. I've decided not to have kids so I don't really need to settle.
What is the best and worst thing about your job?
Best: I feel like I make an important contribution to society. Worst: Realizing that depression doesn't just go away when you make positive changes in your life.
Is caring for the environment important to you? Do you recycle?
I don't know if I care about much. I'm an apathetic person. I do what I reasonably can but I don't go out of my way.
Tell me about something awesome, crazy, terrible, weird, etc. that happened to you this week.
Stood about 3 yards from a deer when on a hike.

Have you ever had straight-across bangs? As a child, but it looks awful on me. My hair is very thick and wavy.
Do you wear short shorts? Not in public. I started getting cellulite when I was like 12 and I have a complexion like a white sheet
.
Is your nose pierced? I used to have a septum piercing but I thought it looked dumb on me so I removed it.
How high are your tallest heels? Maybe 3 inches. I might wear heels once a year.
Do you like boys, girls, or both? So I'll take this as asking sexual orientation. I like boys.
What do you think of burt's bees chapstick? I wish I liked it better than any other chapstick but I don't. I have severely chapped lips all the time so I try to use chapstick frequently, but I have a hard time forming habits.
What's a band you listen to that not many people know about? I like The Very Best a group out of west Africa. I like world music.
Where are your birthmarks? I have a mole in my belly button.
Why did you last go to the hospital? Severe stomach pain. I had a kidney stone.
"Don't hate the player, hate the game." True? No, its just a way of saying, "I'd like to avoid responsibility for the crappy decisions I make in life so I'll come up with this nonsensical line to bewilder and confuse people."
How did the person you first told you loved react to what you said? He said nothing. I should've seen that as foreshadowing.

Hello, what is the name that your parents gave you?: It a traditional biblical name.
What is/was your graduation year?: For what? I graduated high school in '01.
I gave up on this survey here because it was just dumb. Can't stand most of them and I usually fill them out for jokes when I'm bored out of my mind. I wanted to give any new friends a better idea of who I am. Or maybe current friends aren't sure who I am- I think I can relate. So far I appear to be a 30 year old woman. I'm in a long-term monogamous relationship with my SO Josh. We've been with each other since October of 2009. We share an apartment that is too small for us and our two cats and one rabbit. I work as a veterinary technician at a lab facility.
I would describe myself as being outwardly stoic, but my emotions can be intense even though I don't show it all the time. I do seem to be more apathetic than most, but I think that's one of the ways my depression expresses itself. It's kind of a flat emptiness. I don't like just a flat retelling of events when I journal. I try to wrap some larger themes into an entry and give it depth. If I post cryptic prose or even poetry, I'm probably very depressed (I also have an offbeat morbid sense of humor).
I'll leave this as public so go ahead and comment if you're interested in adding me.
