alright. first things first: the job thing. at 10:15 or so on thursday, i found out i was getting laid off. at about 9:45 the president of delta funding/fidelity mortgage sent a company wide e-mail, explaining that over half of the remaining 1000 employees were going to be laid off effective immediately. the subprime industry has been getting worst ( Read more... )

so...i got laid off yesterday due to the crappy subprime lending industry (fidelity laid off over half of their 1,000 employees, including all of training and even our local VP of marketing). i got 2 weeks severence, benefits til the end of the month, and any vacation time/personal days i've accrued in my 6/7 months ( Read more... )

i am SO ready to be home. i came in at noon today, so technically i should stay til 9. however, it's 6:30 right now, my trainees are done testing, and the telemarketers are allowed to go home after they bonus. so, that leaves me with little to do! according to the radio, there is some moderate traffic now, so i figured i would sit around online til ( Read more... )

happy halloween, LJ land...i celebrated by going to the lady doctor this morning and coming into work at 12:30, haha. we had kids from a local daycare come in and trick or treat here, and i was responsible for reading them a halloween story. apparently i did an awesome, enticing job...what can i say, i have a good speaking voice! haha. i dressed up ( Read more... )
