Hey! I got the same thing and made the same comment. I think I nearly had the whole collection. Those and Strawberry Shortcakes. My mom used to like for me to play with the Strawberry Shortcakes because they would leave my room smelling like strawberries.

I was not as much into the Strawberry Shortcake dolls as I was their little animal friends. There's no telling how many "Custard"s I owned....

LOL...but seriously, I think my love of linguistics started incredibly early and that the Speak 'n Spell could be lumped into the same category as Sesame Street was for me.

By the time I actually started watching Sesame Street, I knew all of the educational elements...so while I did enjoy the characters and some of the sketches, for the most part, I was incredibly unimpressed....
