My artist of the week is Queen (yes, I've moved away from the folk music for a bit....) And as for this album (EDIT: the tribute album, Killer Queen):

-I like Gavin DeGraw, but I don't like his arrangement of We Are the Champions.
-Ditto for Joss Stone's Under Pressure and Josh Kelley's Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
-Breaking Benjamin's Who ( Read more... )

There's just something wrong about people covering Queen.
But I am curious about the Sum 41 cover....those dudes crack me up.

When you love the originals as I do, it's hard to listen to the covers.

But go listen to the clips they've got on the Hollywood Records website (esp. Sum 41 and Jason Mraz...they've got the style down.)

Okay, so I finally bought the Platinum Greatest Hits set. I kept trying to remember which song you mentioned in this post was the one where you said "...I just don't understand how anyone could not get that they were gay when they were writing songs like this...love it, love it, love it)".....when I listened to Good Old Fashioned Loverboy, I had an odd feeling that was the song. So funny. I love that song.

I guess I will have to stop being a cheap bastard and buy the tribute album just for my new boyfriend Jason Mraz. I still have troubles with accepting Queen covers.

p.s. I'm obsessed with Bicycle Race.
