So me and my dad had a major blowout last night.I'm nearly 38 years old and he still treats me like a little girl.I wish he'd back off a bit and realise that I'm all grown up now and hate to be treated like a child.I love him dearly and he's my only surviving parent but he really needs to chill.I can take care of myself and I hope he'll learn to ( Read more... )

And like you, I hope that one day he realizes that you are an adult.

I also hope that he will not only treat you as an adult but that he also respects you as one.

Hi Olga,Thanks so much!!! I too hope he will someday see me as an adult and not the child he still thinks I am.He and I don't get along very well anymore.Ever since my mom passed away he's been stuck in the past.Thanks so much for the hugs,that means alot to me.I hope you and yours are doing well and that everythings o.k.
