So, last Wednesday Chris and I went to a talk about "Peak Oil". I'd heard of the idea once before - briefly - but it made sense then, and what we heard at the talk was very convincing also. What it boils down to is that at some point oil will no longer be plentiful. And if you stop to think about it, it really does make sense geologically. It

it's hard to deny that at some point we will start to run out of oil, but what i've read about peak oil suggests a collapse in society when supply gets low. i find that very hard to believe.
