because today, a Hawaiian looked me in the eye
straight faced
all seriousness
and told me '...i love spam.'

i died laughing and he didn't understand why

he's only been here a year.

Anyway, like I was sayin', spam is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. Dey's uh, spam-kabobs, spam creole, spam gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple spam, lemon spam, coconut spam, pepper spam, spam soup, spam stew, spam salad, spam and potatoes, spam burger, spam sandwich. That- that's about it.

i dont dig in on the spam myself but
i watch food network
and apparently spam is a HUGE part of Hawaiian culture, they serve it in restaurants and i think it has soemthign to do with how it last forever

im not sure on the full history but it has something to do with it

yea i asked him why exactly hawaii is obsessed but he didnt know. to him its normal. i guess thats like asking america why they love chocolate
