All these religious organizations who are seeking bans on gay marriage claim that these bans "protect the institution [and/or sanctity] of marriage". They say that allowing homosexuals to marry would, in some way, damage or even destroy the very concept of marriage. They claim that all these measures are only intended to "protect families

I have many, many things to say (mostly on how awesome you are!), but it somehow became 3:34 a.m. while I was wandering the internets and I think most of my brain has already gone to sleep without me . . . .

Also, love the icon!!! :-D I keep meaning to bundle up and hand out the Big Gay Icon Collection, but I keep forgetting (and adding more, so the collection is technically NEVER complete). One of these days!

S'cool -- I know the feeling, seeing as how it's currently 2 a.m., and I'm sitting on the couch, browsing through my e-mail. I meant to go to bed an hour ago, but I'm glad I didn't. ;)

If you ever do gather the collection, I'd love a copy of it! [I swear, I'm scaring my mom. I keep mentioning my anger at California's new idiocy, and any articles I read about the situation. The other day, when I mentioned yet another article, she looked at me and said something like "you're already married, you can't go out and marry a woman!" *shakes head and giggles*
