There are two moments I can think of in my life that I would like to re-do...each one was only a matter or a couple of minutes.
One, I allowed someone else to be hurt (both physically and emotionally) in order to save myself the embarassment of getting caught in a lie. I ended up being found out anyway and ruined my relationship with two people. I still wince with shame every time I think of this moment.
Another, again when I was only in my late teens, was when I was asked a question that I realize now if I'd answered it differently (i.e. more honestly) it might have totally changed the course of the rest of my life. Again, deep regret.
Not knowing the situations themselves, I can't say for sure, but I know it's a lot easier for me to live without worrying about regrets. Sure, there are times when I've wished I'd said or done something differently, but ultimately, I wouldn't want to change any of it.
Besides, you never know -- that drastic change to the rest of your life could've been for the worse! ;)
